Course Overview: XC Theory & Mindset is designed to equip you with the knowledge, strategies, and mental tools needed to go beyond the ridge and start connecting flights with intention. Whether you’re just stepping into the world of cross-country or looking to improve your consistency and decision-making, this course lays the groundwork for developing strong cross-country paragliding skills. This 3-hour theory session focuses on the “why,” “when,” and “how” of XC flying—giving you both the technical framework and mindset shifts needed to fly further, safer, and with more purpose. What You’ll Learn: - Understanding thermal sources, terrain, and XC lines in New Zealand - How to use weather and site conditions to plan realistic XC goals - Effective decision-making in the air: when to push, when to pause - Climb strategy, glide efficiency, and route planning - Common mental blocks in XC and how to overcome them - Confidence-building through realistic goals and debriefing strategies Why It Matters: Flying XC isn’t just about conditions—it’s about mental clarity, preparation, and self-awareness. This course strengthens your cross-country paragliding skills by helping you reframe your mindset, recognise patterns, and take achievable steps toward consistent XC progression. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking—payment will only be processed after the session, or in accordance with our cancellation policy. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee equivalent to the full session cost.
