Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Para Clinics Aotearoa. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all visitors, customers, and participants engaging with our services, clinics, or purchasing products from our online store. By booking a session, purchasing equipment, or using our site, you agree to these Terms. Please read carefully.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings for services must be made through our website or by direct arrangement with our team.

  • A valid credit or debit card is required to secure your booking.

  • Payments are processed through Stripe, a secure third-party provider. Card details are stored securely for charges related to cancellations, no-shows, or outstanding balances.

  • Some services require full or partial prepayment to confirm. This will be clearly shown during booking.

 

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

In-Flight Training

  • Non-refundable. Rescheduling possible with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Late reschedules or no-shows are fully charged.

Ground Handling

  • Weather dependent and non-refundable. Reschedule available with 24 hours’ notice.

Theory Sessions (e.g., Weather to Fly, XC Theory & Mindset)

  • More than 14 days: Full refund minus administration fee

  • 7–14 days: 50% refund or credit

  • Less than 7 days: No refund (exceptions for documented emergencies)

  • Within 24 hours or no-show: 50% fee applies

Reserve Repack & Safety Workshops

  • Same policy as theory sessions.

Note: NZ Consumer Law (CGA) applies where applicable. Refunds or credits may still be available if services are not delivered as agreed.

 

3. Weather Dependency

Paragliding is highly weather-sensitive. Sessions may be postponed, modified, or cancelled if safety is compromised.

  • You will be offered a reschedule or credit (not a cash refund).

  • No compensation is provided for variable or changing conditions on the day.

 

4. Participant Eligibility & Safety

To participate in any Para Clinics Aotearoa activity, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older, or have written parental/guardian consent if under 18.

  • Hold a valid PG2 licence and NZHGPA membership (or equivalent), unless attending a theory-only or entry-level ground session.

  • Complete our Registration Form prior to participation.

  • Follow all safety briefings, instructor guidance, and equipment requirements.

  • Use airworthy equipment or book a gear check in advance.

  • Meet any specific course prerequisites (e.g., tow rating for SIV, speed wing rating for advanced flying).

⚠️ We may refuse participation if requirements are not met. No refund will be issued in such cases.

 

5. Punctuality & Attendance

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early.

  • Late arrivals may be treated as a no-show, which is non-refundable.

 

6. Risk Acknowledgement & Liability

  • Paragliding, speed flying, and related activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you accept these risks and release Para Clinics Aotearoa and its staff from liability for any injury, loss, or damage.

  • A signed liability waiver is required before any physical activity.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under NZ law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

 

7. Equipment Responsibility

  • You are responsible for ensuring your equipment is safe and suitable for the session.

  • We recommend a WOF (Wing Check) or line trim if your equipment has not been inspected in the last 12 months.

 

8. Online Store – Orders, Quotes, Payments & Shipping

  • Shipping: All accessories purchased online are shipped free within New Zealand. Other items may incur shipping costs, displayed at checkout.

  • Quotes: Product quotes are valid for 30 days. Prices may change after this period.

  • Deposit & Payment:

    • A 50% deposit is required to confirm any quoted order.

    • The remaining balance is due prior to collection or delivery.

    • Orders are prepared once full payment is received.

  • Delivery / Collection: Gear is ready once full payment is received. Estimated times will be confirmed when the order is placed.

  • Warranty & Support: All new equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty. Para Clinics provides guidance for setup, fitting, and initial use.

  • Cancellations & Refunds:

    • Deposits are refundable only before order processing.

    • Once an order is placed or customised, deposits are non-refundable.

    • Returns follow the manufacturer’s policy.

  • Liability: Buyers are responsible for the safe use of all equipment, including adherence to regulations and manufacturer instructions.

 

9. Media Use

  • Photos and videos may be taken during sessions for educational or promotional purposes.

  • To opt out, notify us in writing before your session.

 

10. Schedule & Service Changes

  • Sessions may be adjusted or cancelled due to weather, instructor availability, low enrolment, or safety reasons.

  • Affected participants will be offered a credit or alternative dates.

 

11. Communication

  • Updates (weather calls, meeting points, reschedules) are sent via email and/or WhatsApp.

  • Ensure your contact details are correct and check messages, especially around sessions.

 

12. Agreement

By booking or purchasing, you confirm:

  • You have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

  • You meet all participation criteria.

  • You accept the risks involved in paragliding and related activities.

  • You agree to Stripe handling secure payments and storing card details.
