Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Para Clinics Aotearoa, we are committed to delivering safe, high-quality paragliding clinics and services. We understand that life and weather are both unpredictable, and we've designed this policy to be fair while respecting the nature of the sport and the logistics of our operation.

By booking a service or clinic, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

1. General Booking Terms

• All bookings require valid card details on file at the time of reservation.

• Charges may apply for cancellations, late rescheduling, or no-shows depending on the service type.

• Rescheduling is always subject to availability and weather conditions.

 

2. In-Flight Training (1:1 Sessions, Coaching Flights)

• ❌ Non-refundable.

• ✅ Rescheduling is allowed with at least 48 hours’ notice.

• ❌ Rescheduling within 48 hours or no-shows will incur a 50% charge.

• 🌤 If unsuitable weather prevents your session, we will reschedule it at no extra cost.

 

3. Ground Handling Sessions

• 🌦 Weather dependent and non-refundable.

• ✅ Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the session.

• ❌ Rescheduling within 24 hours or no-shows will result in a 50% charge to your card.

• If weather conditions are unsafe, we will notify you and reschedule your session at no cost.

 

4. Theory Sessions (e.g. Weather to Fly, XC Theory & Mindset)

• ✅ Cancel more than 24 hours in advance: Full refund (minus any processing fees).

• ❌ Cancel within 24 hours: 50% fee applies.

• ❌ No-shows will be charged 100% of the session cost.

• ✅ Free rescheduling is available with at least 24 hours’ notice.

 

5. Reserve Repack, WOF, and Line Trim Services

• ✅ Rescheduling accepted with 24 hours' notice.

• ❌ Late rescheduling or no-show will incur a 50% service charge.

• Time requirements:

  • Reserve Repack: ~2–3 hours

  • WOF/Line Trim: ~6–8 hours including optional kite/test flight

• These services are non-refundable once underway.

 

6. Multi-Day Clinics or Workshops

(Examples: SIV, Speed Flying, Thermalling Camps)

• More than 14 days before start date
  ✅ Full refund (minus any non-refundable deposit or processing fees).

• Between 7–14 days
  ✅ 50% refund or full credit toward a future course (case-by-case).

• Less than 7 days
  ❌ No refund unless:

  • Verified medical emergency

  • Unexpected travel restrictions

  • Serious personal hardship (assessed case-by-case)

• ❌ No refunds for:

  • Failing to meet prerequisites (e.g. PG2, tow rating)

  • Voluntary withdrawal after the course starts

  • No-shows or late arrivals

 

7. Weather-Related Cancellations

We operate in a weather-sensitive sport. We do our best to forecast and plan, but sometimes conditions change rapidly.

• ✅ If a clinic or session must be postponed for safety, you will be:

  • Offered a rescheduled date, or

  • Given full credit toward another service

• ❌ No refunds will be issued for deteriorating conditions during a session or clinic day. In such cases, we will continue or adjust the schedule accordingly.

 

8. Refund Process

• Refunds (if eligible) will be processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

• A confirmation email will be sent when your refund is issued.

 

9. How to Cancel or Reschedule

10. Policy Updates

Para Clinics Aotearoa reserves the right to update this policy as needed. The current version will always be posted on our website with the latest date above.
